Ran Combofix And It Seems To Have Fixed My Problems.

Good luck to all. I'm beginning to think that the only way to fix it is a fresh reinstall of Windows but that seems a little drastic to fix a printing problem. do these spyware/viruses pick up that kind of personal information?I ran SDfix last night in safe mode, which fixed my problems with my control panel and user account access. I ran Combofix and it seems to have fixed the problem on Steam...so I guess it got rid of it. But because it needs a restart and my pc was unable to shut down, nothing happened. I managed to track registry settings down, but after "removal" I had a few games that would not work.....

The advice provided was easy to follow.My redirect virus was active on Google, Yahoo, and Bing and worked in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. very useful. I am not using a router - I am plugged directly into the cable modem. have a peek at these guys I've tried deleting the DNS entries but this seems to have no effect.

I run TDSS Killer, and it says press any button to continue. I also wanted to add, a way around the virus is to right-click and open your search result in a new tab - the first time you do this the virus I completed the rest of the syntax to #9, but after rebooting windows update is still checking for updates with no success. Spybot and MSE say I am clean.
