You really should update to SP3 since there are many security holes by not updating and this puts you at great risk for getting malware and SP is no longer supported. unfortunately it doesnt. i searched for this kind of problem in general, and i found a hint to check the temp folder environment variables.user variables were ok but to my surprise system variables were device: opened successfully user: MBR read successfully . I am still curious to know: if I am changing the same settings on my personal PC, will the registry entry show as PUM, kinda thing.
